Welcome and thank you for visiting my site. I am an artist living and working in London.
My work is varied. I paint and draw landscapes and cityscapes that are expressionist and abstract in style; these are worked up from photographs but also include some outdoor studies. I also make a related series of abstract works that evoke landscapes through the suggestion of a horizon line or the view down upon a landscape in aerial and satellite photography.
I also paint and draw "monsters". These monsters are sometimes accompanied by text, but the text is often illegible and fragmentary.
In recent years I have also made many geometric abstract collages that explore colour, tonal and textual relationships using different kinds of found and painted papers.
I was a member of Inventory from 1994-2000.
I also collaborate with Sarah Sparkes as Cult of the Harvester. A statement supporting our work for Supermarket 2010 in Stockholm can be read here.
